Honoring Joan Chernoff-Epstein
Please join us for Sisterhood’s annual Women’s Day fundraising event!
This year, we are excited to host Israeli-American journalist and commentator Irin Carmon. Ms. Carmon is a senior correspondent at New York magazine and a CNN contributor. She co-authored the book Notorious RBG: The Life and Times of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and continues to be an active voice for women’s rights and leadership.
Joan Chernoff-Epstein will be honored as our Woman of Distinction. Joan has held numerous positions on the Adat Shalom Synagogue Board, including that of past President. She is a Life Member and yearly supporter of Sisterhood and is well-known for her active role on many boards in the Detroit Jewish community. We are proud to call her “our own.”
Please join us in support of this event and Sisterhood. When selecting a level of patronage, please know that the funds received will support our meaningful work. Sisterhood provides weekly Shabbat Kiddush after services; gifts for the b’nai mitzvah students; educational classes; Torah study; knitting projects for newborns, those in need, and IDF soldiers; Chesed challah-making; and additional opportunities for repairing the world.
