The tradition of helping organizations throughout Metro Detroit and Israel improve lives continues during Adat Shalom's 10th Annual volunteer Day. Volunteers of all ages are invited to be a mensch. Volunteer Day is made possible thanks to a very dedicated planning committee.


Projects include, but not limited to:

  • Create no-sew fleece scarves
  • Cut plastic bags to make plarn
  • Assemble bag lunches and snack bags
  • Make toys for a local animal shelter
  • Assemble baby baskets
  • Illustrate notebooks
  • Tie t-shirts into reusable bags
  • Chesed Committee projects
  • Cards for IDF soldiers

Plus, Better To Serve Teen program is doing a bake goods and dog biscuit sale to raise money for JARC.


Donations appreciated before and/on volunteer day: Collection bins are downstairs by the Learning Community office.

  • Clean used t-shirts
  • Travel & regular size toiletries
  • New socks for kids & adults
  • Feminine hygiene products
  • Food, towels, & toys for animals
  • New gloves and hats
  • Diapers & wipes
  • Baby food & formula
