Our Commitment to the Future of Adat Shalom

Each year, our Yom Kippur Appeal reflects both our hopes for tomorrow and our responsibility to meet the needs of today. Last year, you embraced the vision of creating a new playground—a place where children and families will gather, laugh, learn, and create lasting Jewish memories. Thanks to your extraordinary generosity, that vision is becoming a reality. Construction is expected to begin soon, and we look forward to celebrating this exciting addition to our synagogue campus.

As we prepare for a new year, we are called to address a different, but equally important, need.

Our synagogue has always been a place of comfort, celebration, learning, and connection. It is where we welcome new babies, celebrate b’nai mitzvah and weddings, gather for holidays, and honor the memories of loved ones. It is our Jewish home.

Protecting that home is one of our greatest responsibilities, and this year’s Yom Kippur Appeal will be to support critical security projects in and around our building.

These enhancements will strengthen our ability to provide a safe and welcoming environment for every person who enters our doors—our members, preschoolers and their families, religious school students, staff, clergy, guests, and community organizations that call Adat Shalom home or use our facility.

As security needs continue to evolve, so must our commitment to safeguarding our congregation. Your support will help fund advanced security technology, infrastructure improvements, training and education, and other essential measures that allow all of us to feel safe and secure.

On Yom Kippur, we reflect on our shared responsibility to care for one another and preserve the institutions that sustain Jewish life. Your gift is more than a contribution to a building—it is an investment in the people who fill it with prayer, learning, friendship, and tradition.
