Turkish Shabbat

The tradition of honoring the **Ray Maisel (z”l) Global Jewish Diversity
Initiative** continues with a special Turkish Shabbat, featuring** guest
Cantor Yaakov Abudaram** and **educator Ruben Shimonov**(offer the Shabbat
morning sermon). We extend our heartfelt thanks to **Gina and Yuksel Erpardo**
for sharing their delicious Jewish Turkish recipes at Shabbat kiddush, and for
joining our guest speakers for a meaningful Turkish Jewry program following
Shabbat morning services.

As we celebrate this Turkish Shabbat, we lovingly remember Dr. Harry Maisel
z”l, whose devotion to his wife Ray was the inspiration for ongoing
programming that celebrates global Jewish diversity. He founded our Rachel
Elias Maisel Bukharian Textile Collection. Harry’s commitment to promoting
understanding of the wide range of Jewish cultures and traditions will always
be cherished. We hope you’ll join us for Turkish Shabbat and celebrate this
part of his legacy.

9:00am – Shabbat Services
9:30am – Drop off supervised child programming
9:45am – Shabbat Torah Study with Rabbi Bergman
10:30am – Family MiniMinyan with Rabbi Bergman
End of services – Joan & Bob Epstein special monthly Kiddush featuring Turkish
foods
12pm – post Kiddush program “Turkish Jewry” with Ruben, Yaakov, and Gina and
Yuksel Erpardo (Supervised childcare is available during this program)
