ADAT SHALOM SYNAGOGUE SMS/MMS TEXT MESSAGING TERMS OF SERVICE
Last Updated: July 15, 2026
Please read these SMS/MMS Text Messaging Terms of Service (“SMS Terms”) carefully. By opting into or otherwise participating in any text messaging program offered by Adat Shalom Synagogue (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be legally bound by these SMS Terms and our main website Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must immediately opt out as described in Section 4 below.
1. Program Description and Consent
Adat Shalom Synagogue operates a mobile messaging program to communicate with registered members and community participants. By providing your mobile telephone number and opting in, you provide your express written consent to receive informational and administrative text messages (including SMS and MMS) from us. These messages may include, but are not limited to, synagogue event updates, schedule modifications, weather delays, service or holiday reminders, and urgent community notifications. Messages are delivered utilizing the EasyShul platform via Twilio.
2. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your relationship with the synagogue, the committees or groups you belong to, and the specific events for which you have registered. You will receive text messages periodically as administrative needs arise.
3. Cost, Rates, and Wireless Carriers
We do not charge a fee to receive text messages. However, standard message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you, in accordance with your mobile service provider’s rate plan. Delivery of mobile messages is subject to the effective transmission of your wireless service provider. Wireless carriers (including but not limited to T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, and others) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
4. Clear Opt-Out Instructions
You have the right to revoke your consent and cancel the text messaging service at any time.
- To stop receiving text messages, reply STOP to any mobile message you receive from us.
- You may also opt out by texting STOP, CANCEL, END, QUIT, or UNSUBSCRIBE at any time.
- Upon receipt of your opt-out command, we will send you a single, final text message to confirm that you have been successfully unsubscribed. Following confirmation, you will no longer receive text messages from that specific number unless you voluntarily re-register or text START or JOIN to reactivate your consent.
5. Customer Support
If you experience technical issues or have questions regarding our text program, reply HELP to any message you receive, visit our website at adatshalom.org, email info@adatshalom.org, or call our main administrative office directly at 248-851-5100.
6. Incorporated Privacy Policy
All data collected through our mobile messaging program is managed strictly under our SMS Privacy Policy, which is explicitly incorporated into these terms. You can review the full policy at https://adatshalom.org/privacy-policy/
