Volunteer Day 2026
The tradition of helping organizations throughout Metro Detroit, the USA, and
Israel improve lives continues during Adat Shalom’s 12th Annual volunteer Day.
Volunteers of ALL AGES/STAGES are invited to be a mensch. Volunteer Day is
made possible thanks to a very dedicated planning committee.
**Projects include, but not limited to:**
* Build wooden bed kids for disadvantaged kids for Sleep in Heavenly Peace
* Assemble bag lunches and snack bags for Hope Warming Center
* Make tug toys for a local animal shelter
* Decorate bags and make snack packs for kids
* Pack bags dry soup ingredients for Metro Food Rescue
* Make food and pack baby bag for Chesed Committee’s deliveries
* Illustrate cards for Jewish soldiers in the US Armed Forces and in the ID
**Donations appreciated before and/on volunteer day: Collection bins are
downstairs by the Learning Community office.**
* Travel & regular size toiletries
* New socks for kids & adults
* Food, towels, blankets, sheets, & toys for animals
* New gloves and hats for kids and adults
* Baby items – diapers, wipes, food, & formula
* Feminine hygiene products
* New or gently used kids books
