The Green Team at Adat Shalom is a dedicated group of volunteers committed to promoting and implementing sustainable practices within our synagogue community.

By viewing environmental stewardship through a Jewish lens, the Green Team embodies the principles of Shomrei Adamah (“Guardians of the Earth”) and actively engages in Tikkun Olam (“repairing the world”).

Our initiatives have introduced several sustainability efforts at Adat Shalom, including:​

• Participating in the Adamah Climate Initiative, aligning our efforts with broader environmental goals.
• Enhancing our synagogue’s landscape with eco-friendly practices.​
• Installing a water bottle-friendly drinking fountain to reduce plastic waste.​
• Fundraising through the sale of reusable water bottles to support additional sustainable projects.​

We warmly welcome new members who are passionate about making Adat Shalom a greener and more sustainable place. Our meetings are typically held on the third Monday of each month.
