Matthew Scott Doren z”l Memorial Jewish Summer Program Scholarship

The Synagogue is pleased to offer, once again, the Matthew Scott Doren z”l Memorial Jewish Summer Program Scholarship, established by Naomi and Martin Doren z”l in memory of their beloved son Matthew.

This annual scholarship in the amount of $1,000 is open to students entering 7th through 12th grades. The scholarship can be used for attendance at any approved Jewish summer experience program for camping, travel to Israel or study in Israel. The scholarship will be awarded based on financial need. Applicants must submit an essay on “Why a Jewish summer experience would be personally meaningful and rewarding.” The winner of the scholarship will be determined by a committee consisting of Naomi Doren, her daughter Cheryl Copley, and members of the Adat Shalom Clergy.

Interested applicants from the Detroit Metropolitan Jewish community should forward their essays for consideration to Executive Director Michael Wolf. Essays are due by Monday, May 10.

 


 

The Jay Yoskowitz z”l Israel Scholarship Fund | APPLICATION

Adat Shalom is offering college students a scholarship opportunity for study in Israel. The Jay Yoskowitz z”l Israel Scholarship Fund will provide a scholarship of $1500 for a semester of study at a recognized Israeli university or at the Conservative Yeshiva.

Applications for the scholarship for the 2021-2022 school year are now available. To apply, please contact Kellie Yost or at 248.851.5100, ext. 246. Applications are due June 1.

 


 

The Harry & Sarah Laker z”l Memorial Scholarship | APPLICATION

Adat Shalom is offering college students a scholarship opportunity for study in Israel. The Harry & Sarah Laker z”l Memorial Scholarship will grant a a $1500 scholarship for a year’s study at a recognized Israeli university.

Applications are available for the 2021-2022 school year. To apply, email Kellie Yost or call 248.851.5100, ext. 246. Applications are due by June 1.
