Conversations after Kiddush

**Adat Shalom** is proud to partner with **3GMichigan** is a local
organization that engages descendants of Holocaust survivors in Michigan by
fostering a supportive community, educating future generations through their
families’ stories, and empowers the community to take a stand against
antisemitism and discrimination.

Hear Ryan Fishman share the story of his grandfather, Elias Burstin (born 1920
in Lwów), who survived arrest, imprisonment in Janowska, and the loss of his
entire family during the Holocaust by escaping under a false identity and
enduring forced labor in Germany. After the war, he married in 1945 and
immigrated to Detroit in 1949 where he then established himself and built a
family.
